Summary

PowPowPow provides a local-first iOS soundboard, a website, and a public sound bank API. The iOS app can record short sounds and play MP3 files you import. Those recordings, imported files, app tags, and app favorites stay on your device unless you choose to share or export them through device features. The website only browses and previews public sound bank sounds.

The current website does not provide accounts, email authentication, payments, cloud sync, user uploads, MP3 import, audio recording, behavioral advertising, third-party analytics, or ad-network services.

Information We Process

Website and API logs

When you visit the website or use the public sound bank API, our hosting provider may process standard technical logs. These logs may include:

  • IP address.
  • Browser or app user agent.
  • Requested URL, API route, status code, and timestamps.
  • Referrer URL, if your browser or app sends it.
  • Basic diagnostic and security information.

We use this information to operate, secure, debug, and measure the reliability of the website and API.

Local website preferences and favorites

The website stores theme preferences and favorite sound IDs in your browser localStorage, including:

These preferences and favorite IDs stay in your browser. They are used only to remember your selected visual theme and favorite public sounds.

Public sound bank API

The website and app may request public sound bank data, including sound titles, tags, file metadata, stream URLs, and download URLs. API requests may appear in server logs as described above.

The public API is read-only. It does not require an account and does not accept user sound uploads.

App device data

The iOS app can record short sounds, play MP3 files you import, organize sounds, add tags, and mark favorites. These recordings, imported files, tags, and favorites are processed locally on your device for app functionality.

The current website and public API do not record audio, import MP3 files, accept user sound uploads, or receive local app data unless you choose to share or export it through device features outside the website or public API.

Apple or the App Store may process information related to installing, updating, purchasing, refunding, crash reporting, analytics, or reviewing the app under Apple's own terms and privacy rules.

If you email us, we process your email address, message content, and related email metadata so we can respond, maintain records, and protect our rights.

What We Do Not Collect in the Current Service

Based on the current website and API implementation, we do not intentionally collect:
